October 2014 Favourites!

After skipping my September favourites post and being so inactive recently, I decided it was time to finally post something; just in time for my October Favourites!

Just a reminder that not all of these products were necessarily released or purchased in October - they're just things that I particularly enjoyed over the month!

Costmetics

  • Etude House's Princess Fantasy VIP Gift Palette, approx £15, no longer available.
I did a full review of this palette so I don't think I need to elaborate any further on that, but after using this palette for just over a month I can say that I've fallen even more in love with it. I've created some really cute looks with it and I'm still impressed by how versatile it is. (Full Review)

I bought these on a whim just over a week ago and since then they've become among my go-to products. I'm not usually into tinted lipbalms; I find them too sheer and they generally don't last well, but these redefine everything I've ever thought about them. The colours are muted but still noticeable, they're incredibly moisturizing (wow, a tinted lipbalm that actually functions as a lipbalm, this is a
first) and just fantastic all round.

  • L'Oreal's So Couture Pen Liner, £6.99, available from Boots.com.
This has quickly become one of my favourite eyeliners ever. I think what makes it so great is that it's a drug store-brand's product with a premium brand's quality; it's insanely precise and so easy to apply, it's also waterproof (I mean seriously waterproof, you'll need some good eye makeup remover to get it off) which is just a bonus.

  • Hope Girl's Nude Skin Colour Control Cream (CC cream), approx £20, available from amazon.com
After using somewhat of a multitude of CC creams, I can definitely say this is one of the best I've tried. For once a CC cream actually does what it claims to and changes to match your actual skin tone instead of a washed out shade of orange, amazing. For real though this is a fantastic product; it does have light coverage and a perfume-like scent to it however, so if those things bother you usually, you may not rate it so highly.

  • Bare Escentual's Buxom Lipgloss in the shade 'Sha-bang', £16.50, available from Bareescentuals.com

This lipgloss describes itself as a "full-bodied, lip plumping gloss." and I can assuredly agree with that statement. I may have said it before but I'm not too big on lipglosses - what can I say, I like strong colour and insane stay power - but this gloss is probably one of few exceptions; it's highly pigmented, to the point where I would say you could wear it on its own (however let me clarify that's still not something I would ever do myself holy hell), and it has a lip-staining effect that makes it last well.

  • SKIN&CO's Sicilian Light Gommage face scrub, £16.45, available from amazon.co.uk
Face scrubs I think, are a must have, and this one in particular is even more so. It's intended to brighten skin and reduce dark spots, and yes I have noticed a difference in the overall radiance of my skin. Although that wasn't the first thing I noticed; initially I was impressed by how it seems to moisturize your skin as you use it, which is unusual for a face scrub, unusual but pretty fantastic.

  • Ciaté PP090 Angel Wings and PP093 Honey Bee, £9 each, available from ciatelondon.co.uk.
I'm really loving these colours for fall/winter; Honey Bee is a cute shimmery-nude colour and I've been really into nude shades recently so it's perfect for me right now. Angel Wings is a high-shimmer (almost reflectively so) white that has an snowy feel to it - exactly why I'm feeling it for winter.

Music

CNBLUE - Can't Stop (single)

Kele - The Boxer (album)

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - Pika Pika Fantajin (album)

Empire of The Sun - Ice On The Dune (album)

So That's pretty much everything that stood out to me last month as being favourites-worthy. Is there anything that you enjoyed particularly in October? Are there any products that you would like me to do a review on? If so be sure to tell me in the comments!
