August 2014 Favourites!

Since August has been and gone I thought it'd be a good time to run through some of my favourite things from the past month; anything from beauty products to music included! Just to clarify, not everything listed was released or purchased in August, some are just things that I enjoyed last month specifically!

Cosmetics

  • Ciaté Paint pots in shades PP149 - Cha cha cha and PP155 - Boom box. £9 each, available from ciate.co.uk
'Boom box' is a sapphire blue shade whilst 'Cha cha cha' is a coral orange. Both are bright and bold and compliment eachother nicely. The polishes are strong and don't chip or peel easily. Plus the bottles are adorable!

  • Etude House's Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam. £6 - £8, available from w2beauty.com
This is a really great basic cleanser. It contains baking powder for gentle exfoliation to thoroughly cleanse your pores. The price is great too since you get 170ml (5.74 fl.oz) of product.

I found out about this eyeliner prior to its release when I was going to purchase Benefit's Bad Gal liner but the lady at the counter told me that they were releasing a new one soon and that honestly I should wait. So I did, and gosh am I glad I did. This has become my personal holy grail of eyeliners. Its hard to explain how precise and wonderful it is, just buy it yourself to find out and I swear down you won't be disappointed.

  • Etude House's Princess Happy Ending Belle lipstick and nail kit. £7 and £6 (respectively), available from w2beauty.com
Etude House collaborating with Disney to make great products with ingeniously designed packaging? I'm in. Both of these products are must-haves for any lovers of Etude or Disney. The shades are stunning and I don't even have to say anything about the packaging do I?

  • So Susan's concealer quad. £16.50, available from sosusan.com
This is a product I received in a Glossybox a little while back and recently I've really been loving it. The four different shades effectively hide any kind of imperfections from blemishes to dark circles and they apply nicely without smudging the rest of your makeup or creasing. (I had to use a picture from the website since I used mine up already; I guess thats praise in itself really)

Fashion

  • Black and white clutch bag, £6, available from Primark.
This is a wardrobe staple. I personally think a clutch bag is a necessity in any collection and having a monotone one only means that its going to coordinate well with almost everything you already own. This clutch in particular is practical and simple and on top of that, beyond affordable.

  •   Skinny Jeans. £7, available from Forever21.
Jeans are another basic necessity, and honestly I'd say Forever21's jeans are a necessity on their own. I've bought cheap jeans before that have felt, as you'd expect, cheap, but these feel anything but. Well made, well fitting jeans for £7? They're a must.

Music
A few tracks that made it into my summer playlist:

  • Red Velvet - Happiness (single)

  • Block B - H.E.R (mini album)

  • Little Dragon - Nabuma Rubberband (album)

  • Jay Park ft. Loco - Nana (single)

So that's just a very quick rundown of some of my favourite's from August! (I would've included Tv shows but I pretty much just spent the whole month watching Dexter on Netflix...)

Let me know in the comments if there was anything in particular that you enjoyed last month! And also please give this post a +1 and share it on any social sites to help me out!
